The celebrities with body hair conversation has come a hella long way since everyone lost their collective marbles when Julia Roberts rocked furry pits at the 1999 premiere of Notting Hill.
Now, thanks to movements like Januhairy (a month-long social media celebration of women refusing to nix their body fluff) and a growing appreciation of people who don’t fit into a neatly ‘feminine’ box, famous faces from Miley Cyrus – who went as far as dying hers pink in 2015 – to Gigi Hadid have come out as lovers of keeping it au natural.
In celebration of their attitude, here’s a roster of big names who keep it furry.
1. Gigi Hadid
In a 2017 shoot with LOVE magazine, the supermodel showed her impressive biceps – and a layer of fuzz under her pits.
2. Leandra Cohen
Founder of fashion site Man Repeller Cohen has never played by the aesthetic rules, preferring to shun make-up and with a special appreciation for a harem pant.
Here, she shows us a masterclass in anklets and leopard print – as well as in very excellent leg hair.
3. Madonna
The OG of shocking people just because she can, this 2014 post of the singer sporting a burlesque look with furry pits is a winner.

4. Thandie Newton
Not strictly showing it off, but this 2015 shot of Newton with hair removal cream all over her ‘tache is iconique.
5. Rihanna
Rihanna could tear arm holes in a plastic bag and wear it and still look 10/10. In this holiday shot, the singer showed off her downy leg hair, as well as a masterclass in to-camera eye contact.
6. Bella Thorne
Actress Thorne is rarely seen without her now signature ‘pit hair. We especially like this joyful snap of the 21-year-old hanging out poolside.
7. Scout Willis
The second daughter of Demi Moore and Bruce Willis is a big proponent of rocking a natural hair vibe. In this snap, the 25-year-old lets her natural armpit forest hang out.
8. Ashley Graham
This Insta snap does not depict model Graham’s hair in question… because, well, it’s a little too race-y. But know that the 31-year-old rocks a seventies style down there – and loves it.
‘Honey, I have a full bush. Period. It’s about your preference and your partner’s preference,’ she told Glamour in 2017.
